About Walburga

Walburga Zahn teaches technical communication in the College of Engineering and the creative process the in Living Arts Program. Before coming to the Program in Technical Communication, she worked in the automotive embedded controls industry, fulfilling various roles in technical communication, technical translation, marketing, and software/hardware instruction. She also taught German language and literature for over a decade in the University of Michigan’s Residential College. She enjoys teaching technical communication in first-year engineering classes, particularly in the fields of aerospace, computer science and environmental engineering. She also loves to work with computer science/electrical engineering students in third-year technical communication classes. She strongly believes that people must nurture their creative side to be successful and happy. Teaching and acting are her passions.
